Folk art ceramic mugs that will brighten up any home or office. Packed in a box that tells a little story about the art form - it makes a perfect gift.
Migrant patuas, or scroll painters, converged around Kalighat temple in Kolkata early in the 18th century to give rise to a new school. For over a hundred years the pilgrims offered a ready market for the pats. A majority of the Kalighat pats treated religious and traditional subjects, but the introduction of secular themes is of great interest now.
